Technology Roadmaps Point the Way Forward
Technology roadmaps have become an integral part of the business arsenal.
PowdermatriX Faraday is enabling both sectors and companies within the
particulate engineering industry to realise the potential of this potent
and practical tool.
Energy Materials; PowdermatriX Technology Roadmaps 2008
PowdermatriX has carried out a technology roadmapping analysis to identify the opportunities for particulate materials/products to make a significant (in some cases, unique) contribution to satisfying the future performance needs of plant for power generation, transformation, transmission, distribution and storage.
The results of the survey are presented in two reports:
“The Future of Power Generation – The Role of Particulate Materials” is a summary of our findings on the opportunities for particulate materials to provide solutions in power generation equipment.
“Energy Materials” is the full roadmap report.
You can obtain PDF copies of the roadmaps by entering your details here....
Sector Roadmaps
PowdermatriX has written four technology roadmaps;
they can be downloaded via the links below:
Developed through a robust series of consultation activities with PowdermatriX
members and organisations in their supply chain, the roadmaps identify
the challenges and research priorities of each sector.
The studies have shown an industry demand for co-ordinated actions
that will grow their businesses either through diversification in new
products and markets or through improved manufacturing capability. The
findings have stimulated initiatives such as the Concerted Actions on
Magnets and Manufacturing with Titanium Powder, and will provide focus
for further initiatives in process and product innovation and market
analysis.

Technology Roadmapping for Companies
PowdermatriX also offers a technology roadmapping service for member
companies. Members come to us when they recognise that they are in a
process of change. This might be changes in the way you do business
in response to technology needs, or change forced on you by new legislation
or market conditions.
Contact John Cotton on john.cotton@ceram.com
or 01782 764217 to discuss the service in more detail.
The article below, published in February 2006 in Materials World describes
sector and company Roadmapping further.
