Knowledge Transfer Partnership Projects
PowdermatriX together with the Knowledge Transfer Partnership is aiming
to help you set up projects that will develop new products, services
and processes.
Almost 1000 companies have benefited from the access that the Knowledge
Transfer Partnership (KTP) Programme gives to the expertise in the UK's
universities, colleges and research organisations.
With the help of your Technology Translator and a specialist Knowledge
Transfer Partnership Consultant, you will identify a university, college
or research organisation that has the right expertise for your business.
Together you will then define and agree a project that draws on their
know how and applies it for the benefit of your business.
The agreed project can be between one and three years, with the overall
aim of helping your business make a step change in an area that you
have identified as high priority for your business.
KTP programme provides Associates to work on your project, as well as
covering the expenses for their training, travel and academic supervision.
Your costs for running a project depends on its scope as well as your
company circumstances, for example an SME entering the programme for
the first time pay only 40% of the costs.
Companies working with the programme have seen many tangible benefits:
- New processes
- Lower overheads
- New products
- Improved efficiency
- Bigger profit
- Staff development
- Reduction of risk in recruiting.
